Base Ice
Base Ice is used to opaque out (whiten) the dark color of the floor beneath the ice. Tests by Hitachi Corporation show that IRS Base Ice provides the whitest ice available and results in a 20% energy savings all season for refrigerated rinks. Patented Base Ice is user friendly. A crew of two men can "paint" the ice surface. No need for a team of nine men messing with a "paint wand" and hose like other hard to install paints! Base Ice is a "life saver" for natural ice surfaces. Each case consists of 6 bags and covers approximately 700 sq feet (65 sq meters) per bag.
